Works as advertised.
This app seems to help one relax by slowing breathing, and for that, it seems to work well, at least for me. I have been using breath control for relaxation for several years, and though I have a biofeedback machine for this purpose, this app works almost as well.
Im a little concerned by Daniels concern that people consult their doctors before embarking on a deep breathing program. Does he also discourage people from using meditation and relaxation without consulting their doctors? Nothing this app does is different from meditation or relaxation techniques for controlling breath. If this works and you dont like or wont take the time to learn these other techniques, go for it. This app seems to be a good shortcut to the breathing techniques of these other tried and true relaxers. Id recommend meditation instead, but most people wont take the time.
One neednt worry that one will get brain damage from breathing techniques. You are breathing normal room air, NOT oxygen. You will lose consciousness and breathe normally LONG before your brain is damaged.
